- David Alaba linked with return to Bundesliga
- 31-year-old’s fitness record at Real Madrid called into question
- Defender admitted keeping an eye on former club Bayern Munich
Alaba has been linked with a return to the Bundesliga due to his uncertain fitness record, but he has rapidly tried to dispel such talk. Alaba’s fitness record has become more suspect.
At this point, I’m not planning that far ahead. While Alaba was abroad with the Austria national team, he expressed his satisfaction with the way he was feeling in Madrid.
I am a fan of Real Madrid, and I have certain objectives in mind. All of my thoughts are focused on this one thing.
Although it is obvious that Alaba has his heart set on Madrid, he recently acknowledged that he has been keeping an eye on the improvement that his old team Bayern has made this season.
“It goes without saying that I don’t stop supporting FC Bayern. To this point, they are enjoying a really successful season. Despite the fact that they were eliminated from the Pokal, Alaba said that they had been doing really well in the Champions League and in the Bundesliga overall.
To the question of which of Madrid and Bayern Munich is better equipped for a lengthy run in the Champions League, Alaba said, “I think that depends on so many details.” Bayern Munich is the team that is better prepared. The Champions League is a competition that both teams have the potential to win. With that being said, there is still a very long way to go before we reach our ultimate aim of being at the head of the pack.
Both Madrid and Bayern are now two points behind the surprise leaders in their respective home competitions. Girona is currently in first place in La Liga, while Bayer Leverkusen is currently in first place in the Bundesliga on the other hand.
