David Alaba, a defender for Real Madrid, has replied to allegations that imply he may quit the club in the near future.
Alaba left Bayern Munich for Real Madrid in the summer of 2021 on a free transfer after playing for the Bavarian giants for the previous 13 years. He made the decision to leave Bayern Munich in quest of a fresh challenge.
Alaba helped Los Blancos win both the Champions League and La Liga in his debut season at the Santiago Bernabeu. He formed a strong relationship in the middle of the Madrid defense with Eder Militao during that time.
His second season in Spain was hampered by a string of muscular ailments, but Carlo Ancelotti was able to rely on newly signed defender Antonio Rudiger to fill in for the Austrian player while he was out. A problem with Alaba’s adductor muscle has also hampered his fitness throughout the 2023–2024 season, while Madrid have been without Militao for the most of the season due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury that he sustained early in the season.
Alaba has been connected with a return to the Bundesliga due to his increasingly dubious fitness record. However, he has moved fast to dismiss such talk by stating that he would not be returning to the Bundesliga.
“I’m not planning that far in advance right now. Alaba said when traveling with the Austria national team that he had a positive experience in Madrid. “I feel very comfortable in Madrid.”
“Real Madrid is one of my favorite teams, and I have very specific aspirations for myself. My thoughts are not located in any other place.
Alaba recently acknowledged that despite the fact that he is definitely committed to Madrid, he has been keeping an eye on how his previous team Bayern is doing this season.
“Of course, I keep up with FC Bayern throughout the season. They’ve had a really successful start to the season thus far. “They were eliminated from the Pokal, but they’ve been doing very well in the Champions League and in the Bundesliga,” Alaba added. “Yes, they were eliminated from the Pokal.”
Alaba had the following response when asked which of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich is better equipped for a lengthy run in the Champions League: “I think that depends on so many details.” Both of these clubs are capable of taking home the Champions League trophy. There is still a very long way to go before we reach our ultimate objective, which is, of course, to be at the very top.
Both Real Madrid and Bayern are now two points behind the surprise leaders in their respective home championships. Girona is currently in first place in La Liga, while Bayer Leverkusen is currently in first place in the Bundesliga.
