It was a momentous day for Eduardo Camavinga as Real Madrid supporters remembered November 7 as the day Cristiano Ronaldo extended his contract seven years ago.
The teenage midfielder signed a new contract with Real Madrid, which will keep him at the club until 2029.
Camavinga is the third young player to have recently renewed his contract with Real Madrid, after Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo.
Camavinga’s contract was extended.
“Real Madrid is a dream, it’s my life,” Camavinga stated shortly after signing the deal.”I’ve wanted to play here since I was a child, and now my dream has come true.” I’m thrilled to be staying at Real Madrid and playing at the legendary Bernabéu.”
Camavinga is set to join Real Madrid in the summer of 2021. The midfielder has made 114 competitive games for Los Blancos since then. He is still just 20 years old.
“It was very quick to reach 100 games, but when I go out on the field I don’t think if I have played 50 or 30 matches, I play for each game,” he added.
Camavinga was present at the contract signing occasion with his whole family, including his siblings.
“What is my primary motivation?” My household. I want to play more when I see how pleased they are of me. “Every time I play and put on the shirt, it’s for them, the Madridistas, and this club,” he said.
When asked about a memory from his time at Real Madrid that he would never forget, the midfielder said, “When I came to sign my first contract at Madrid.” Also, we won the Real Madrid tournament, the Champions League. Winning it in my first year was a dream come true.”

Apart from his own achievements, Eduardo Camavinga praised his Real Madrid colleagues, particularly the young players who now constitute the basis of the group.

Camavinga also praised his midfield gurus, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric, saying, “You gain more experience when you play with players like Modri or Kroos.” I like looking at them, which is why I have more skill and tranquility than in my first year here.”
Despite being a midfielder, Camavinga’s ability to play in different places of the field, especially left-back, has been a distinguishing feature.
“I always say that I’m a team player,” the Frenchman stated of his adaptability. If you need me to play goalie or striker to aid the team, I’ll do it. I aim to do as much as possible.”
Finally, the former Rennes prodigy praised club president Florentino Perez, who was instrumental in approving the contract extension.
“Florentino Perez embodies Real Madrid’s values.” “I believe he is the best president in the world,” he said.
