After winning a 2-0 victory against Granada at the Santiago Bernabeu, Real Madrid came back to the top of the La Liga rankings. The victory was an easy one for Real Madrid.
Due to Girona’s victory against Valencia earlier today, Los Blancos had temporarily fallen to the second place position. It was now up to Carlo Ancelotti’s team to ensure that they were able to regain their position.
And that is precisely what they accomplished against Granada, who were fighting for relegation; they put on a commanding display and were able to walk away with all three points.
After receiving a magnificent ball from Toni Kroos, Brahim Diaz delivered a beautiful finish to give Real Madrid the lead. This was the moment when Real Madrid took the lead. The second goal was scored by Rodrygo in the second quarter, maintaining his outstanding run of form through the game.
The 24-year-old Diaz, who has been impressing everyone at Real Madrid, shared his thoughts with the club media after the encounter. Diaz was awarded the title of Man of the encounter for his outstanding performance in all aspects of the game that took place on the evening.
As the Spaniard reflected on the performance and the victory, he made the following statement (with attribution to AS): “It was a great win for everyone, and the fans pushed us to that first goal.” The game was so close to becoming flawless. While we were in control, they had very few opportunities.
They did not attempt to shoot on goal, if my memory serves me well. We had a high level of concentration, and it must be a credit to the whole squad.
Diaz acknowledged that it was a good finish from him when he was talking about his incredible goal, but he gave the credit to Kroos for his magnificent pass, saying:
It was a fantastic finish, and I am pleased with it; but, I must give credit to Toni since she is the one who sees the pass that no one else does. If you want to know how he looks for his teammate, all you have to do is watch him on the field. He is really unforgettable.
He continued by saying, “We see him in training, and today I had to clean his boots,” alluding to the celebration that they attended after the goal was scored.
After addressing the media of the club, Diaz also engaged in conversations with other outlets, during which he expressed his happiness at finally being given consistent playing time under the direction of Ancelotti.
My heart is filled with joy, not just for the team but also for the objective. You are able to see how content I am. I would want to continue playing. Within the squad, there is a great deal of skill. “You can see the team that we have, we are all on the same page, and we are very hungry,” he remarked (with credit to MARC).
“The coach tells us to move around a lot because we are not very tall,” the 24-year-old player remarked in response to what Ancelotti has requested of him. “We are not very tall.”
Following this, Diaz went on to express his gratitude to his teammates for their assistance, adding, “I am focused on always contributing to the team.” It is made a great deal simpler by the teammates.
In addition, there was some appreciation for Jude Bellingham, who did not score today. Diaz said, “We are delighted with Jude.” Bellingham finished the game without scoring. He is a really decent guy in addition to being a very talented footballer. I have a pretty good relationship with him.
