Christoph Freund, the sports director of Bayern Munich, has said that the club would want Alphonso Davies to remain with the club. In order to achieve this goal, the club will engage in discussions with the player and his representation.
As reported by writer Fabrizio Romano, Freud said that Phonzy was under contract with the company until the year 2025.
“I have no doubt in my mind that he takes great pleasure in playing for FC Bayern. We are hoping that he will remain at Bayern for a longer period of time. We will engage in conversation,” he went on to say.
Although Davies is a leading contender to become Real Madrid’s first-choice left back beginning with the next season, the Los Blancos have not made any inquiries regarding the availability of the Canadian player, despite the fact that the public is interested in hearing about his availability.
What is blocking Real Madrid’s progress?
Additionally, as was previously reported, Real Madrid intends to commence negotiations with the young left-back in the near future; however, as of today, no official contact has been launched.
On the other hand, there have been claims that Real Madrid has been speaking with the player via his representative, claiming that they want to start official conversations in the summer of the following year. A number of these stories have been going around.
It has been reported that Davies is reportedly seeking a salary of thirteen million euros for each season. Bayern is unwilling to negotiate a pay that is comparable to this amount. Davies, despite this, remains to be open to the possibility of discussing contractual terms with Bayern as well. Despite this, the club has not been able to meet his expectations regarding his remuneration.
At this point in time, the number of ten million euros every season is the closest they have gotten to fulfilling his objectives throughout this time.
In light of the existing circumstances, not even the player is in any type of hurry to make a decision that is quick. Additionally, he would be overjoyed to continue his career at Bayern Munich, and in order to make this happen, he is now waiting for his agency to initiate contact with the Bavarians in order to begin talks. He would be more than happy to continue his career at Bayern Munich.
It is noteworthy to note that in light of Freud’s recent words, it seems that the German champions will, in reality, participate in a dialog in order to find a solution to the situation before Real Madrid makes a formal offer. This occurrence is something that should be taken into consideration.
