Alvaro Morata, a star player for Atletico Madrid, recently gave an interview to ESPN in which he named Joselu, a brilliant striker for Real Madrid, as one of his three favorite strikers in the game at the moment.
It was only until the summer of 2017 that Joselu made his debut with Real Madrid. He was brought in from RCD Espanyol on a loan deal that would continue for the whole season. The contract also contained a buy option.
In his second spell with Madrid, the Spaniard, who is 33 years old, has performed pretty well. He has made 19 appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals and providing a couple of assists among his total of 19 goals.
In spite of the fact that Carlo Ancelotti does not always include Joselu in the starting eleven, the contributions that he makes to the squad are quite valuable.
Additionally, Morata, who happens to be a member of the same locker room as Joselu when he is playing for the Spanish national team, has cited Joselu as one of his three favorite strikers available in the game at the moment.
“I will say Joselu, he is also my teammate in the Spanish squad, Harry Kane, and [Robert] Lewandowski,” Morata said. “I will also say Robert Lewandowski.”
Joselu, as mentioned earlier, has added value to the team be it as a starter or coming off the bench. As a consequence of this, there has already been discussion on the possibility of making his transfer permanent at the year’s end.
Real Madrid, on the other hand, has not yet made a definitive decision about whether or not they will continue to employ Joselu after the current season.
