The 41-year-old guy has done an outstanding job in a very short amount of time as the manager of the Bundesliga team Bayer Leverkusen, where he is presently employed.
Alonso took over as head coach of Die Werkself during a tough stretch of the previous season and led the team to a top-six finish in the Bundesliga as well as the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League.
The success that Alonso has had in the past has carried over into this season for Leverkusen, who are presently on top of the Bundesliga rankings after winning their last four matches across all competitions.
