Real Madrid doesn’t seem to get a break from injuries at all.
The Merengues have been hurt again this week, just when it seemed like they were almost back to full strength (except for the two long-term illnesses).
Arda Guler was close to making the team for the match against Las Palmas, but he hurt himself in training on Tuesday.
And now, during Real Madrid’s game against Las Palmas at Santiago Bernabeu, key defender David Alaba has hurt himself.
Around the 40-minute mark, Alaba fell to the ground holding his leg and looked like he was in a lot of pain.
Soon, a doctor came to check on the Austrian, and a few seconds later, he was off the field and heading straight for the tunnel.
Lucas Vazquez came on for Alaba, who was hurt, and Nacho Fernandez switched places with Antonio Rudiger to play center back.
Alaba’s injury means that Carlo Ancelotti only has two healthy center backs, Rudiger and Nacho, which is very worrying.
The hope is that Alaba’s situation isn’t too bad and that he will be able to get better quickly.
