During the forthcoming January transfer window, Real Madrid may not make a significant number of movements in the transfer market; nevertheless, it is quite possible that they will be one of the most active clubs in the summer of 2019.
Several aspects of the team’s roster, particularly the addition of a new forward, need attention from the club. In particular, Kylian Mbappe is going to be a prominent name on the agenda; but, there are a number of other places that need reinforcement of their own.
It is the left-back position that is considered to be one of the weak positions, and it is in this position that Alphonso Davies competes. Real Madrid has been said to be interested in acquiring the great player from Bayern Munich for some time now, and the player is listed as one of the club’s top targets for the summer transfer window.
There is a ‘advanced’ stage of the Davies deal for Real Madrid.
Alphonso Davies is a standout player for Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid is reportedly looking to bring him to Santiago Bernabeu. According to Manu Amor, Real Madrid considers the deal for Davies to be quite advanced for 2024.
A Canadian international player who has been identified as the right improvement to Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia is expected to be signed by the Spanish giants, who are quite confident in their ability to do so.
Mendy, in particular, is facing an unclear future at the Bernabeu, despite the fact that the coaching staff at Real Madrid considers him to be some kind of life insurance in defense.
Despite this, Davies has emerged as the primary target for Los Blancos, who are looking to add more pace on the wings. This is due to the fact that his age profile and technical abilities make him an attractive prospect.
Bayern Munich refused to comply.
The fact that Real Madrid has shown a significant interest in Alphonso Davies does not change the fact that Bayern Munich has not showed any signs of selling its star player.
In point of fact, Thomas Tuchel has lately refuted rumors and conjecture over Davies’ fate. From Tuchel’s point of view, Davies will remain a member of the Bayern Munich team until the conclusion of his current deal.
At Allianz Arena, Davies’ current contract is set to end in the year 2025. There has not been much progress made in the contract negotiations between the two sides, and it is believed that the 23-year-old player has rejected alluring offers from the Bavarian giants.
In light of all of this, Real Madrid has received a significant boost in their confidence regarding their pursuit of Davies, and they are of the opinion that the signing of the Canadian international might very well be in the bag by the year 2024.
