We broke the news on Sunday that Real Madrid defender Ferland Mendy has had a spectacular turnaround, which has been so outstanding that the club is now contemplating extending his contract.
Under the rules of his present deal, Mendy will remain with Real Madrid for at least one more year. The contract that he now has with the club is valid until the year 2025.
As of right now, Bernabeu Digital has reported that while it will be relatively easy to strike a renewal deal with Mendy, there is still a lack of clarity on the duration of his new contract. However, preliminary indicators suggest that he may be extended until the year 2027.
According to Real Madrid’s management, the French full-back’s recent performances have attracted their attention, and as a result, they are considering the possibility of granting him a contract extension.
It is quite possible that the club’s decision to extend Mendy’s contract was influenced by the fact that he has been performing better and making more contributions to the success of the team, particularly in the matches that have taken place in recent times.
