Real Madrid moved a step closer to winning the league title after securing a comfortable 3-0 victory over Cadiz this afternoon.
Brahim Diaz was the undisputed star of the game, as the young playmaker scored the opener while setting up Jude Bellingham for the second.
Brahim speaks after Cadiz win
Shortly after the game, Brahim highlighted Real Madrid’s desire to win the title while also addressing the team’s chances heading into Wednesday’s game against Bayern Munich.
First and foremost, however, Brahim congratulated Thibaut Courtois for making his return to the pitch.
“I want to congratulate Thibaut, who is back with us, a friend, a brother is playing again after so long and I am very happy for him, we are a family,” he said.
As confirmed by Carlo Ancelotti, though, Courtois won’t be starting against Bayern in midweek, as he requires more minutes before he gets fully fit.
Speaking of the Bayern game, Brahim backed Real Madrid to succeed, especially in front of the home fans.
“Bayern? We have arrived at a very good level, with great enthusiasm, and the match will be at the Bernabéu. We know what magical nights look like at the Bernabéu,” he said.
Brahim also talked about Real Madrid’s title prospects heading into the final stretch of the season. “This is Real Madrid. We always want to win all the titles, and on Wednesday we have another final. We will try until the end because we have to try to win.”
Brahim, for his part, though, was delighted to have helped Real Madrid win the game against Cadiz. Shortly after the game ended, the Moroccan posted on Instagram with the caption, “Madridistas, we’re getting closer. I love you, Real Madrid.”
Also on Instagram, Brahim received praise from his teammate Jude Bellingham, with Endrick, too, joining the bandwagon later on.
