Arda Guler has had a fairly sluggish start to life at Santiago Bernabeu, despite the fact that he made a significant financial transfer to Real Madrid during the summer of last year.
The development that Guler has made this season has been hampered by injuries, despite the fact that he is widely regarded as one of the most brilliant young forwards in Europe.
The young Turk, on the other hand, caused a lot of people to raise their heads with his recent performance against Real Sociedad, in which the striker scored the game-winning goal.
Guler met down with KAFA Sports for an interview a few days after his performance versus Sociedad. During the course of the discussion, he reflected on his time spent at Fenerbahce while also discussing his “dream move” to Real Madrid.
The transfer of Arda Guler to Real Madrid
The following is what Guler had to say when he was questioned about his choice to join with Real Madrid rather than Barcelona, who were interested in signing him over the summer:
“Ever since I was a little child, I have had a dream of playing for Real Madrid. My father contacted me when I was away on vacation and told me, “Real wants you.” What a surprise! It was a really exciting time for me.
“I could have stayed at Fenerbahce for one more year, but I wanted to show the world what a Turkish young man from Fenerbahce could do in Europe,” the kid said when he was asked about his choice to join Real Madrid. “I wanted to show the world what a Turkish young man from Fenerbahce could do?” In the future, I wish to continue to exhibit.”
“Real Madrid supporters are unable to accept the fact that their team has lost a match. Your sense of pressure is due to this. The next thing he stated was that Real Madrid was destined to triumph.
Guler went on to disclose that Real Madrid presented him with the enticing opportunity to take over for Luka Modric in the long term.
It was shared with me by Real Madrid that I would be Modric’s successor. They presented me with a long-term idea, and I was persuaded to take it,” he said.
However, Guler has not played a significant role since joining Real Madrid, mostly due to injuries which he has sustained. When it comes to Carlo Ancelotti, the player, on the other hand, has no problems.
Is it enough that I play? The strategies that our coach has made are continually discussed. I am prepared by him. He maintains an ongoing line of contact,” he said.
Guler then on to discuss his colleagues, one of which being Luka Modric, the player whom he is expected to take over for in the years to come.
Due to the fact that they are at an older age, I am unable to name him Luka or Toni. The members of my family taught me this. It seems to me that I am showing them contempt. Both Modric and Toni are considered to be my brothers. This is the reason why they began referring to me as brother,” he said.
“I always make an effort to learn something new from Kroos and Modric, and I always make sure to ask them questions and provide them with advice,” he said.
In reference to the way in which his teammates at Real Madrid see him, he said, “I make an effort to learn something from everyone.” It is Diaz, Alaba, Rudiger, and Valverde. The majority of my time is spent with them.
Can you tell me what they call me the most? Guler, who was mentioned before, was the standout player in Real Madrid’s most recent victory against Real Sociedad. “They say Turko, they say Abi,” Guler admitted revealingly.
During his celebration after scoring a goal against Sociedad, Guler reaffirmed his faith in God by saying, “It is based on trust.” Guler was speaking about his celebration. I am of the belief that everything originates from Lord Allah.
Guler also discussed the adoration he gets from Turkish supporters in an open and honest manner, saying, “The support of the Turkish people gives me strength.”
Finally, Arda Guler thought on his time spent at Fenerbahce, particularly with regard to the question of whether or not the Turkish club ought to have been given a greater share of the deal’s proceeds.
In the presence of our family, we made a request to Real Madrid to pay a little higher amount. They graciously acknowledged that they had understood,” he said.
However, Guler has said that he does not believe his father will get any portion of the Real Madrid sale. He further stated that “Such a thing is not even possible.”
