After Kylian Mbappe joins Real Madrid’s star-studded roster, former Arsenal and Barcelona ace Thierry Henry has said that Real Madrid has the potential to dominate European football. Henry made this statement while speaking on CBS Sports (with credit to Mundo Deportivo).
At the conclusion of the current season, Mbappe will be permitted to leave Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent, and all indications point to the fact that the 25-year-old player will be signing with Real Madrid.
It has been reported that discussions have progressed to a more advanced level, and the Merengues have already begun formulating ideas for the presentation that the French superstar will give.
Henry is lauding Real Madrid’s efforts to develop their team.
In the middle of this, Henry, who is a legend at Arsenal and Barcelona, went on to assert that Real Madrid has the potential to rule the footballing scenes in Europe for the next six or seven years with the roster that they have constructed.
“If you look at it properly, if Mbappé goes to Real Madrid, they will have a team that can dominate Europe and LaLiga for maybe six or seven years because they will all be young,” stated Henry. “Mbappé, Vinicius, Rodrygo, Valverde, and Tchouameni are all young players.”
After that, the former France striker lauded Real Madrid’s ability to recognize when it is the appropriate time to part ways with players, naming players such as Raphael Varane and Casemiro respectively as examples.
They are quite good at knowing when to get go of players, which is one of their talents. Players who it would make sense to get go of are not what I mean by this. “What I mean is that it was time for Cristiano Ronaldo,” he commented earlier.
“The moment had come for Casemiro now. The moment had arrived for Mesut Özil. The moment had come for Varane, who I believe was out with a knee injury in the meanwhile.
After complimenting the transfer strategy of the Merengues even more, he continued by saying, “There is one thing you have to give Real Madrid a lot of credit for, and that is the ability they have to make sure they build a team by keeping the old guard to make sure they can pass on to the guys coming in, to the youngsters they sign.”
