As soon as the year 2024 arrives on the calendar, Kylian Mbappé of Paris Saint-Germain will be able to start signing a pre-contract. The 24-year-old player is about to become a free agent, and there is no question in anyone’s mind that he will place expectations on the team that he eventually joins with.
The Frenchman does have financial expectations, but he also has other wants that he will make of Real Madrid, PSG, or any other team that is interested in signing him. These requests will be presented to the club.
According to Defensa Central, the player who won the 2018 FIFA World Cup has given Real Madrid two non-negotiable criteria as he mulls about making the switch to the Spanish giants.
The first of the two demands, which pertains to foreign responsibility, is possibly the most peculiar one of the two. Mbappé wants reassurance that he will be able to play an important role for France in the Olympic Games that will be staged in Paris in 2024.
Since the Olympic Games do not take place within officially sanctioned FIFA dates, a player’s eligibility to compete in them is reliant on receiving permission from his or her club. This is in contrast to other football events.
Why is there such a demand? He most likely does not want to miss out on the chance to win a gold medal in front of his family and friends in his hometown. The second request emphasizes Mbappé’s desire for a method of decision-making that is well-considered and unhurried, which is a more typical approach.
The player indicates that he would want to postpone the completion of his transfer to Real Madrid until either March or April of next year. Mbappé is noted for his methodical approach to making important choices about his profession. As a consequence of this, rushing into a deal in January is not consistent with his preferred modus operandi.
