This season, Bayer Leverkusen has been the Bundesliga’s surprise. Despite Harry Kane’s heroics, Xabi Alonso’s team now leads the league with 31 points after the first 11 games. As near as flawless as it gets. Real Madrid seems to have taken notice of his form.
The club has previously been associated with Xabi Alonso. Carlo Ancelotti is said to be leaving at the conclusion of the season, and the Spaniard is widely regarded as the favorite to take his position in the Santiago Bernabeu hot seat.
That should come as no surprise given how Bayer Leverkusen is currently doing. Real Madrid seems to be interested in more than only Alonso.
According to SPORT, Real Madrid is also interested in three Bayer Leverkusen players. Jeremie Frimpong, Victor Boniface, and Florian Wirtz are their names.

The first two are areas where Real Madrid must improve. Dani Carvajal is no longer the player he used to be. However, the team has yet to replace Karim Benzema, who departed in the summer.
Jeremie Frimpong is one of Europe’s most intriguing right-backs or wing-backs right now. He was extensively linked with a move away during the summer, so his decision to stay at Bayer Leverkusen seems surprising. Real Madrid has also been connected with him in the past.
Boniface, on the other hand, has been a major factor for Bayer Leverkusen’s success this season. At 22 years old, he would also be a long-term solution up top.
Wirtz, however, is seen to be the most talented of the three. He has been linked with some of Europe’s greatest clubs, and signing him might cost up to €100 million.
