Key midfielder and talisman Jude Bellingham is a doubt for Real Madrid’s forthcoming UEFA Champions League match against SC Braga on Wednesday.
According to The Athletic’s Mario Cortegana, the England international was put to tests by the club’s medical team earlier today.
Bellingham had a shoulder dislocation.
In addition, preliminary examinations have shown shoulder injuries, casting doubt on Bellingham’s participation in the game against Braga later this week.
However, Cortegana adds that Real Madrid has not officially ruled him out of the Champions League match.
The player, the club’s medical team, and Carlo Ancelotti will decide if he will play tomorrow.
El Chiringuito TV’s Jose Luis Sanchez confirmed the same, claiming that Bellingham has sustained a dislocation in his left shoulder, making him a doubt to play Braga later this week.
What precisely occurred?
The injury occurred after Jude Bellingham took a heavy fall into the grass at the Santiago Bernabeu only 10 minutes into yesterday night’s game against Rayo Vallecano.
The English midfielder, who is Real Madrid’s leading scorer this season, got medical care but chose to play the whole game with his shoulder firmly bound.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti said that the problem was not significant and that Bellingham will be available for the Braga match.
It remains to be seen, however, if the midfield wonder will arrive in time to play the Portuguese club.
