Luka Modric is widely regarded as one of the best central midfielders in the history of the sport. The superstar player for Real Madrid has been an integral part of the club’s organization for more than a decade, but it is becoming more apparent that his time with the club is coming to an end.
In spite of the fact that he has not played as often this season, Modric proved to be a formidable opponent in his first game of the year, which was played against Getafe. In point of fact, it was his partnership with Kroos that allowed the club to get back into the game after losing ground in the first half.
The legendary Croatian player recently gave an interview to SN (h/t Madrid Xtra), in which he discussed Real Madrid’s new summer additions and provided his impressions of them after just a short amount of time with the club. He started out by making the signing of the summer, Jude Bellingham, who has already contributed five goals for Los Blancos despite only making four appearances.
“Jude, I have to confess that you have impressed me in a positive way. It was common knowledge that he had a certain skill, but when you get a good look at him, you can only see his potential.
“He certainly is one of the most promising talents. He understands the rules of the game, he is capable of doing what he envisions, and he also has that “personality.” He went on to say of the English apprentice that “he possesses all of the prerequisites to achieve a great career.”
The seasoned pro continued by offering his opinion on Arda Guler, the rising star from Turkey who has had a challenging beginning to his life in Spain due to a meniscal tear.
“Arda Guler has a unique gift, which was readily apparent in the training sessions that took place before to the accident. His performance on the football field will be remarkable. He has certain unique abilities with the ball that set him apart from others. “He is a very nice guy, humble, modest, and eager to learn,” Modric said of the youngster he hopes will inherit his number 10 shirt. “He is a very nice guy, humble, modest, and eager to learn.”
Last but not least, the captain of the club expressed his love for the new goalkeeper for the squad, Kepa Arrizabalaga, who has performed very well in goal so far this season.
“It should come as no surprise to anyone that he is a very good goalkeeper.”
