All eyes will be on Real Madrid tomorrow afternoon. With that in mind, here is the predicted Real Madrid lineup vs Osasuna, with changes necessary from Carlo Ancelotti.
Real Madrid come up against Osasuna tomorrow afternoon. For this La Liga match, Carlo Ancelotti will hope for his side to bounce back to form. Without a doubt, it is necessary to do so.
Real Madrid are second in La Liga, nine points behind their rivals FC Barcelona. It is unlikely that Real Madrid will make up this gap anytime soon but they must keep chipping away at it, hoping for Hansi Flick to finally drop form.
With that being said, it starts this weekend. So, here is the predicted Real Madrid lineup vs Osasuna.
Predicting the Real Madrid lineup vs Osasuna
GK: Andriy Lunin – Carlo Ancelotti would prefer the more experienced Thibaut Courtois between the sticks but until the Belgian returns from injury, Andriy Lunin is quality enough to fill the sticks.
RB: Lucas Vazquez – The full-back is in poor form but unfortunately, Ancelotti is not afforded the luxury of benching him. Through lack of options, Vazquez simply has to start every match.
CB: Antonio Rudiger – Unfortunately, the Germany international had a brilliant moment snatched from his as his tremendous midweek goal was ruled out. It was deserving of the overrule, it must be said.
CB: Eder Militao – Didn’t cover himself with glory in midweek. However, he will hope that his teammates stick to their position better, to avoid the Brazilian being forced out wide.
LB: Ferland Mendy – Another Real Madrid player out of form. Considering Real Madrid are eyeing Alphonso Davies, Mendy simply must return to form.
CM: Eduardo Camavinga – At least Real Madrid will look tighter in the anchor position. Aurelien Tchouameni is ruled out of this match through injury, so the better (in my opinion) midfielder Camavinga will take his place.
CM: Federico Valverde – Valverde is given great leeway from Real Madrid fans. If anyone is to step up and carry the team, it can be the energetic Fede.
CM: Jude Bellingham – From hero to zero. Unfortunately, this has been the case for Jude Bellingham. Let’s hope he finds a goal to turn his frown upside down.
RW: Rodrygo – The Brazil international has been one of Real Madrid’s best players at the start of this campaign. Therefore, having him available from the start again will be a huge boost.
CF: Kylian Mbappe – Mbappe doesn’t have much to smile about since joining Real Madrid. He has recently said that playing through the middle doesn’t suit him but unfortunately, he has no choice but to play here. He must swallow his pride and capitalise on the little chances he gets.
LW: Vinicius Junior – Clearly a player who is lacking in confidence. As much as Real Madrid fans love Vini (and rightly so), he cannot simply roll over. He has what it takes to impact a game, which Real Madrid need during this poor run of form.
