Real Madrid have tied down the latest sensation from La Fabrica, Victor Valdepenas, to a new long-term contract, reports MARCA.
Indeed, Valdepenas, an 18-year-old centre-back from Alvaro Arbeloa’s Juvenil A team, has signed a contract extension until 2029, with the club moving swiftly to tie down their jewel after he came of age.
‘Valde’, as he is known, turned 18 last Sunday, enabling the club to extend his contract for the desired duration. Following his spectacular breakthrough (debuting for both Real Madrid C and Castilla within a week), the club took just four days to secure his future.
Valdepenas, a left-footed centre-back, who can also play as a full-back, began the season with the Juvenil A team, before progressing to Real Madrid C and then making his debut for Raul Gonzalez’s Castilla last Sunday against Alcorcón.

Generating great excitement
As reported previously, Valdepenas’ explosion has been causing quite a stir at Valdebebas, catching the attention of the reserve team and the senior setup.
While primarily a centre-back, Valdepenas can also operate as a left-back. This season, he has featured for four different academy teams if we include Arbeloa’s Youth League squad, which also accommodates Castilla players.
Before settling at Madrid’s academy in 2022, the 18-year-old trained with the Rayo Vallecano and Leganes youth setups.
Now, with the defender turning 18, Real Madrid have finalised a new long-term contract binding him to Real Madrid until 2029, including a significant release clause.
Given how Valdepenas has developed this season, climbing three rungs of the ladder from Juvenil A to Castilla, those who watch him closely suggest he has a very high ceiling.
At Real Madrid, there is complete confidence in his abilities, and as such, they have acted swiftly to tie him down to a new deal.
