Real Madrid ace Kylian Mbappe has come under the radar in recent days, especially after being spotted in Sweden during his time away from the national team while recovering from his injury.
The French national team captain’s decision to snub Didier Deschamps’ camp despite featuring for Real Madrid did not go down well in France for many claimed that he was prioritising club over country.
Despite the noise in the media, however, Mbappe is indeed working hard to return to complete fitness and is far from enjoying his time off.
In fact, reports from El Chiringuito state that the player is undergoing quite the routine.
A mini pre-season
As relayed by the Spanish outlet, Mbappe is currently undergoing a mini pre-season under the guidance of Antonio Pintus in an aim to get back to his best.
His session began on Monday and was aimed at ensuring the player is completely warmed up and fit for the upcoming set of games, strengthening and preparing him for the ordeals ahead.
Needless to say, the same will continue at the Valdebebas in the coming days until the squad reunites for next weekend’s fixtures.
With Celta Vigo, Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona coming up on the schedule, the Frenchman after all must be at his best.
The 25-year-old played 33 minutes in Real Madrid’s clash against Lille and then started against Villarreal to play 71 minutes on the night. On both nights, however, he was far from his best.
With time to rest and strengthen his body once more, the player is expected to return to action against Celta Vigo later this week in what will be a challenging fixture against a team in form.
