Manchester City are looking to win their fifth straight Premier League title this season. Pep Guardiola’s side have been nearly flawless in domestic competitions in recent times. But they have issues to take care of this summer. Julian Alvarez left for Atletico Madrid recently while Oscar Bobb and Savinho, two impressive youngsters, have suffered injuries, although the latter seems to be back training already. Could a Real Madrid player be the solution to their problems?
Real Madrid have added Kylian Mbappe to their ranks this summer. It remains to be seen what effect that ends up having on Carlo Ancelotti’s team.
Real Madrid might have won the La Liga and Champions League double last season, but they will need to make some tweaks to their team and system to fit Mbappr into it. Hopefully, Ancelotti’s side will be just as successful after these changes are in place.
One player whose importance to this team could decrease following the arrival of Mbappe is Rodrygo. And the Brazilian international seems to be drawing interest from Manchester City.
Manchester City reportedly make offer for Real Madrid player
According to Football365, reports in Spain claim that Manchester City have made a ‘surprise offer’ for Real Madrid forward Rodrygo. The player is said to be ‘going through a difficult time’.
On his day, Rodrygo is one of the best players in the world. We have seen that several times during his time at Real Madrid. The problem that he does face is his lack of consistency
Of course, it remains to be seen how accurate the reports coming out of Spain are. It is worth remembering that Rodrygo has been linked with a Real Madrid exit for several years but nothing has come out of it. So, it would be a surprise if he were to leave this summer, just because Mbappe has been signed.
