The excitement is growing over Wednesday’s European Supercup final between Real Madrid and Atalanta, which will be the season opener for Los Blancos. As much as the trophy and seeing the two teams go head to head, the prospect of seeing Kylian Mbappe in a Real Madrid shirt for the first time will be a major attraction.
The 25-year-old French forward has impressed in training early on, despite being well behind his teammates in preparation, having only returned from his holidays last week. He is in fine fettle though, as he demonstrated against Eder Militao, slipping the ball through the Brazilian’s legs for a lovely goal in training.

It’s a fate that awaits many more La Liga defenders this season, but no doubt Militao will be kept on his toes every day with Mbappe going up against him. Around 80,000 fans turned up to see Mbappe just presented, and the Santiago Bernabeu will no doubt be full for his home debut, scheduled for Sunday the 25th of August against Real Valladolid.
