Real Madrid fans are eagerly anticipating when they can watch Kylian Mbappe kick a ball for Real Madrid. Given that the transfer has been anticipated for many seasons, it’s no surprise to see the excitement, not just from Real Madrid fans but from the universal footballing landscape.
Kylian Mbappe was not involved in the squad for pre-season. Endrick was given an opportunity to prove himself but Kylian Mbappe was not. The reason for this was simple, though, since Kylian Mbappe was involved in EURO 2024 action. Given that he also broke his nose at the competition, it’s understandable why Real Madrid wish to be cautious.
However, with the season rapidly approaching, it won’t be long before Kylian Mbappe applies his blistering pace in a Royal White Real Madrid jersey. In fact, it could happen as soon as next week.
Real Madrid set to hand Kylian Mbappe his debut in the UEFA Super Cup
According to a report from Daily Mail, Kylian Mbappe could be involved in the upcoming UEFA Super Cup against Atalanta. Los Blancos earned their place in the UEFA Cuper Cup by winning the Champions League, so they will face the winners of the Europa League, Atalanta. It’s a great chance for silverware before the domestic season starts.
This news comes just one day after Kylian Mbappe posted pictures of himself in training. He was pictured alongside Ferland Mendy and Aurelien Tchouameni, which comes as no surprise given they are his countrymen and two players he’s already familiar with.
Also returning to training was EURO 2024 finalist Jude Bellingham, who was one of the standout players in the competition and key to England reaching the final. So, there is a possibility that Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe could link up for the first time in the UEFA Super Cup, an exciting prospect which was evilly teased by Carlo Ancelotti.
In his own words to Mundo Deportivo (h/t The Daily Mail), Ancelotti said: “Mbappe can obviously play in the Super Cup from the start, Jude Bellingham too and others. They are prepared, they have followed a plan and will all play.”
It remains to be seen which lineup Carlo Ancelotti will opt for, but it’s certainly great to see that the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham are in contention to start.
