Brazilian forward Endrick was presented as the new Real Madrid today and speaking during the presentation, club president Florentino Perez introduced the young forward with pride.
“At Madrid, each title is the first step to reach the next. Several of our players have reached the record of our legend, Paco Gento’s six European Cups,” he began saying on RMTV.
“Our players want to continue winning everything and we work to remain faithful. The mix of the best in their positions and young talents is called to be the protagonists of the present and the future.
That is how we built this era, remembered forever. And now we welcome one of these youngsters. We have been waiting for him to turn 18. A player who has already excited football fans. We welcome Endrick,” he added.
A sight to behold
Endrick entered the stadium with a viable nervousness. He kissed the grass as he appeared in front of the fans.
Speaking further, Perez highlighted how the 18-year-old turned his dream into reality and welcomed him to the Real Madrid family.
“Dear Endrick, this moment was what you dreamed of when you were a child. We have just seen that that little boy was very clear that he wanted to be a professional and play for Real Madrid.
“You have fulfilled the dream of your life, you had it when you were only nine years old when you shared moments of excitement and life with the Real Madrid Foundation.
“Today you are here with your family and your girlfriend. They want to accompany you on a journey in which you will also be accompanied by the best fans in the world,” said Perez.
The president went on to mention the importance of Real Madrid fans, stating they will never let him down.
“These fans will never give up. They will help you until the last moment so that you do not give up either. This will be your strength.
“Dear Endrick, despite your youth, you arrive with important baggage: two leagues, a Super Cup and two Sao Paulo championships. With a very beloved team like Palmeiras.
“You have become one of the rising stars of world football. Being the only one to win all the titles in the lower divisions with Palmeiras and being MVP of the last Paulista with the first team. We are proud to welcome you to this great family.”
History of Brazilians at Real Madrid
Real Madrid has been the home to several Brazilian players and Perez made sure to point that out. He said that the entire Real Madrid family is happy to welcome another Brazilian ambassador to the club.
“Today begins the great challenge of your life. Brazil and Madrid are united. For the many players who have worn this shirt. Today we are grateful to be accompanied by the Brazilian ambassador in Spain in such an important event for us.
“Didi, Canario, Roberto Carlos, Marcelo, Casemiro, Ronaldo, Kaka, Savio, Danilo… to name a few.
“Here you will meet Vinicius, Rodrygo and Militao, all of whom will have told you what it’s like to be a Real Madrid player. Welcome to your new home,” concluded the president as Endrick took the stage.
